Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your safari guide will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel or airport in either Kigali or Entebbe depending on your travel plan.

Begin the scenic journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through beautiful rolling hills, local villages, terraced farmlands, and mountain landscapes.

If traveling from Kigali, you will cross into Uganda through the Cyanika or Katuna border.

Arrive at your lodge near Bwindi Forest in the afternoon or evening for relaxation and briefing about the gorilla trekking experience.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience – Return Transfer

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for registration and briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers.

Begin your gorilla trekking adventure through the dense rainforest of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family.

The trek may take between 2–6 hours depending on the movement and location of the gorillas.

Along the way, enjoy sightings of forest birds, monkeys, waterfalls, and unique vegetation.

Once the gorillas are located, spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat as they feed, groom, and interact.

After trekking, receive your gorilla trekking certificate and begin your return journey to Kigali or Entebbe.
