4 Days Murchison Falls & Chimpanzee Safari Uganda Wildlife, Nile River Adventure & Primate Experience

Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Depart from Entebbe or Kampala and begin your scenic drive north to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and most dramatic protected area.

En-route Experiences

• Stop at roadside markets and cultural villages
• Scenic views of papyrus wetlands and open savannah landscapes
• Optional visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking (completes Big Five experience)

Arrive in the park and transfer to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 2: Game Drive & Nile River Boat Safari

Start your day with an early morning game drive on the northern banks of the park.

Morning Game Drive Highlights

• Rich birdlife including African fish eagle

Afternoon Nile Boat Cruise

Enjoy a scenic boat safari along the Nile River towards the base of the falls:

• Large pods of hippos and Nile crocodiles
• Water birds along the riverbanks
• Stunning approach to Murchison Falls

Return to lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Top of the Falls & Transfer to Chimpanzee Region

Visit the dramatic top of the falls where the Nile forces itself through a narrow 7-meter gorge at Murchison Falls National Park.

• Scenic hiking experience

After the visit, begin your journey to the chimpanzee trekking region (either Kibale Forest or Budongo Forest depending on routing).

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking & Return to Kampala/Entebbe

After an early breakfast, head into the forest for an unforgettable chimpanzee tracking experience.

Chimpanzee Trekking Experience

Explore either Kibale National Park or Budongo Forest depending on your route.

• Track chimpanzee families in the wild
• Observe feeding, grooming, and social behavior
• Spot other primates like red colobus and L’Hoest monkeys
• Birdlife includes the great blue turaco

After the trek, begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe for departure.
